I'm Shiho Mizutori, a UX design lead with deep roots in game development and a growing passion for creating impactful digital experiences across platforms.
With a background in leading design for online games, I’ve served as a UX Director, UX/UI Lead, and hands-on designer for mobile, console, and PC titles, contributing to over 15 shipped games. My approach balances intuitive interaction design with visual clarity.
I believe great UX can transform how people interact with technology, enhancing usability, accessibility, and delight across all types of digital products.

Design Strategy
I’ve worked on a wide range of team sizes and project scopes from small mobile games with 20 team members to large-scale AAA productions with over 1,000 people. I adapt my workflow to suit the unique needs and structure of each project.
I’ve established the UX and UI design pipelines for many projects I’ve worked on. Since each project and team varies in size and structure, I’ve learned how to adapt my process to best fit the needs of both.
I’ve organized meetings and team-building events in past projects to strengthen team connections and foster a collaborative environment, ensuring we work together effectively to create great products.
I’ve created guidelines to support new UX/UI designers and help them onboard quickly. I also ensured that team members outside our discipline could easily understand and follow our documentation.

ABOUT ME
I moved to Montreal from Japan in March 2000, where I pursued design studies at both college and university.
After completing my education, I began my career as a graphic and web designer.
In 2008, I transitioned to the video game industry, starting as a UI designer.
Since then, I have advanced to roles as a UX Design Director and Lead UX/UI Designer, where I have had the privilege of directing and leading the UX and UI design for various game projects.
I’m passionate about my work and continuously seek opportunities to improve both my skills and my craft.
I’m always eager to step outside my comfort zone and embrace new challenges to grow professionally and personally.
